"Golden Grooves" is the signature class offered by
Move It With Mel Fitness. 

Blending simple dance patterns with favorites like Motown, Soul and Classic hits, Golden Grooves is more than a traditional workout class. It's your residents' weekly dose of joy.

 

Each class combines dance, strength-training, balance work and a tai-chi inspired meditative cool-down-supporting fall prevention, coordination and strengthening memory.

About Mel

Rahmael "Mel" Magny is a seasoned, high-energy fitness leader with over 15 years of experience helping people feel stronger, more confident and more connected through movement. 

​

Throughout his career, Mel has held integral roles at high-end fitness clubs, where he led teams of instructors, oversaw hiring and training and helped shape dynamic, high-quality group fitness programs. His background as both an instructor and leader gives him a unique ability to deliver classes that are not only engaging, but thoughtfully designed and results-driven.

​

While Rahmael has worked with older adults for many years, his passion for senior fitness became deeply personal after the passing of his father in 2024. After witnessing firsthand the impact of inconsistent care and the challenges that come with not prioritizing long-term health, Rahmael felt called to focus his work on helping seniors stay active, supported and able to truly enjoy their lives.

Known for his warmth, energy and ability to connect with every participant, Rahmael creates a warm and welcoming environment where residents feel engaged, empowered and excited to return week after week.

​

His philosophy is simple: Keep Moving. Keep Living.
